Slidell Memorial Hospital's Women's Health Alliance (WHA) will hold its Fall Seminar October 25, featuring health screenings from 10 to 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch, a presentation and a fashion show. The event will take place at the Northshore Harbor Center, 100 Harbor Center Blvd. Tickets are $35 per person and are available at several ticket location throughout Slidell.
The keynote speaker for this annual event is Catherine Wilbert, doctor of naturopathic medicine, nutrition consultant, culinary nutritionist and nationally recognized wellness expert. Wilbert has a passion for helping others reach their fitness goals and find new quality of life through health and nutrition. Her topic for the seminar, "Look Good, Feel Good,” will offer participants her insights on reaching these types of goals to improve their health.
Wilbert works with people in everything from weight loss to wellness, and she is the owner of The Nutrition Company and Vitality Juice, Java and Smoothie Bar, a growing group of retail nutritional supplement stores offering nutrition, health and wellness education services. In addition to Wilbert's discussion, Christian Dior Makeup Artist Jamie Lynn Hagen will speak about the importance of looking your best and present a before and after makeover. She also will provide a Christian Dior sample for each guest.
A fashion show coordinated by well-known fashion coordinator JoAnn Chelchowski will feature fashions from JC Penney. The seminar also will feature health screenings and information.
