Our Partnership with Ochsner Health System

Through our partnership with Ochsner Health System, we are able to better meet your healthcare needs by ensuring even more services and enhanced technology are available locally.

As a result of the partnership, the Ochsner Medical Center – North Shore Interventional Cardiology and Surgical Cardiology services have moved to the Slidell Memorial Hospital Heart Center.

SMH was selected as the location to care for more complex (invasive and procedure-based) cardiology cases due to our recently-renovated and state-of-the-art Heart Center. Heart and vascular services that are non-invasive, such as diagnostic stress tests, will continue to be provided at Ochsner Medical Center – North Shore.

Working together, we will continue delivering your care in Slidell while enhancing quality and access to specialized heart care. Our partnership enables us to offer an expanded menu of cardiology services including advanced cardiac procedures, diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, peripheral vascular studies and coronary bypass surgery. With Ochsner, we are able to provide on-call cardiac care 365 days a year, so you will always have a cardiac expert available when you need them.
