SMH Awards 1st Quarter Doctor of the Quarter
(June 2, 2023 – Slidell, La.) – Slidell Memorial Hospital names Francis Petitto, MD as Doctor of the Quarter for the 1st Quarter period of 2023.
Francis Petitto, MD is a general surgeon at Slidell Memorial Hospital and the Slidell Memorial Hospital Regional Cancer Center.
Dr. Francis Petitto graduated from the Louisiana State University Medical School in 2007. After completing his residency at LSU Health Sciences Center, Department of Surgery in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2012, he moved to Slidell to practice as a general surgeon at Slidell Memorial Hospital.
Doctor of the Quarter is decided each quarter through a survey passed internally where team members vote for the physician, they believe deserves the award. One team member stated “Dr. Petitto should be Doctor of the Quarter because he goes above and beyond always checking on his patience no matter if they stay 1 day or 10 days. He comes and talks to them in the morning and afternoon before they go home to their family.”
