SMH announces 6 new providers in SMH Physicians Network

All had previously been with Louisiana Heart Hospital until its closure

(June 1, 2017 – Slidell, LA) – Slidell Memorial Hospital and Ochsner Medical Center – North Shore Chief Executive Officer Bill Davis announced a list of six healthcare providers who have become part of the SMH Physicians Network following the closure of Louisiana Heart Hospital and Medical Center in Lacombe.

"We are continually making efforts to assure our community has access to the types of healthcare providers and services they need,” Davis said. "This is part of that effort. We felt it was critical to take action to keep these quality doctors and physician assistant in this area, where their patients are best served. We continue to work with other providers affected by the LHHMC closure, whom we hope will also become part of our team.”

The providers are:

• James Butler, M.D.; Orthopedic Surgeon; office located at 1150 Robert Blvd., Suite 240 in Slidell. Patients may contact Dr. Butler at 985-646-3662. Before joining the SMH Physicians Network, Dr. Butler practiced orthopaedics, both general and spine, through Tulane Medical School and Clinics. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
• Simon Finger, M.D.; Orthopedic Surgeon; office located at 1150 Robert Blvd., Suite 240 in Slidell. Patients may contact Dr. Finger at 985-646-3662. Dr. Finger has practiced orthopaedics for more than 20 years and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has a special interest in joint replacement; shoulder and knee arthroscopy; hand surgery; fracture care; and revision hip and knee arthroplasty.
• James R. Gosey, M.D.; Orthopedic Surgeon; office located at 1150 Robert Blvd., Suite 240 in Slidell. Patients may contact Dr. Gosey at 985-646-3662. Dr. Gosey's surgical focus is joint replacement, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, hand surgery and fracture care.  Board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he has practiced orthopaedics for over 30 years.
• Christy Graves, M.D.; Internal Medicine; office located at 1150 Robert Blvd., Suite 190 in Slidell. To contact Dr. Graves, patients may call 985-646-4415. Born in Slidell, Dr. Graves has served patients on the North Shore for over 40 years. She has special interests in chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and natural approaches to the treatment of diseases.
• Dasarathy Srinivas, M.D.; Internal Medicine; office located at 1150 Robert Blvd., Suite 190 in Slidell. To contact Dr. Srinivas, patients may call 985-646-4415. Dr. Srinivas has 44 years of experience. His specialties include Gastroenterology and Hepatology, as well as Internal Medicine.
• Michael Beninato, MPAS, PA-C; Physician Assistant, Orthopedics; office located at 1150 Robert Blvd., Suite 240 in Slidell. Patients may contact Beninato at 985-646-3662.
