Update from CDC on ZIKA Virus

Update from CDC regarding ZIKA:

• 10 pregnant US patients have been affected by the ZIKA virus.
• 2 had miscarriages
• 2 had elective abortions because defects found in the fetuses
• 3 delivered with 2 normal fetuses and 1 with profound microcephaly
  
• 3 are still pregnant with no significant defects seen

The CDC is asking pregnant women to defer going to ZIKA areas until they have delivered.
Also, pregnant females are asked to employ safe sex practices or abstinence until delivery with any male that has been to ZIKA prone areas.
