In partnership with Tulane University School of Medicine, Slidell Memorial Hospital Regional Cancer Center will begin offering Head & Neck Cancer Surgery and Reconstructive Services, with the first patients due to be served beginning in early January in Slidell.

Although 96 percent of Americans feel it is unacceptable for someone to drive when they are so sleepy they have trouble keeping their eyes open, about one-third of Americans admit doing so, according to a recent study by the AAA Foundation. To help prevent deaths and injuries, the Slidell Memorial Hospital Sleep Disorders Center is sending out tips to help members of the community prevent driving drowsy.

Slidell Memorial Hospital's Women's Health Alliance (WHA) will hold its Fall Seminar October 25, featuring health screenings from 10 to 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch, a presentation and a fashion show. The event will take place at the Northshore Harbor Center, 100 Harbor Center Blvd. Tickets are $35 per person and are available at several ticket location throughout Slidell.
