American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines® awards recognize commitment to evidence-based care and improved patient outcomes
SLIDELL, La. – Slidell Memorial Hospital has received national recognition from the American Heart Association through its Get With The Guidelines® quality improvement program, earning achievement awards for its commitment to following the latest, research-based guidelines for the treatment of stroke and care for patients with Type 2 diabetes.
Slidell Memorial Hospital received a Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus Achievement Award, along with the Target: Stroke Elite Plus Honor Roll and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll designations.
These honors recognize hospitals that demonstrate a sustained commitment to improving patient care by consistently following evidence-based treatment guidelines. Research shows that patients can experience better outcomes when care teams consistently follow the latest science and recommended treatment protocols.
